David Butman, PsyD
David Butman, Psy.D. is a PA Licensed Clinical Psychologist. He earned his doctoral degree from Chestnut Hill College with a special concentration in Psychological Assessment. Dr. Butman completed his pre-doctoral internship at Growth Opportunities Center and the Psychological Services Clinic of Chestnut Hill College where he performed psychoeducational/psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and adults, as well as psychotherapy for individuals who presented with a a broad range of clinical issues. He completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Devereux Advanced Behavior Health, where he conducted psychotherapy (including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent Management Training) and psychosocial assessment with children and adolescents. Dr. Butman has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those who experience issues related to ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Butman’s experience extends to adult populations as well, as he has provided psychotherapy for adults at the University of Pennsylvania Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, Salus University Counseling Center, and the Psychological Services Clinic of Chestnut Hill College.
Currently, Dr. Butman’s clinical practice at Growth Opportunities Center includes psychoeducational and psychosocial testing and assessment across the lifespan. Typical assessments include: ADHD diagnostic testing, IQ Testing, academic, learning disorders, mood disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety), and personality assessment.
