Jennifer Dagia, Psy.D., LCSW is a licensed clinical psychologist and licensed clinical social worker with over 22 years of experience. Dr. Dagia earned her masters degree in clinical social work from NYU in 1999. After working in the field for several years, she received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College in 2017.
Dr. Dagia has been at Growth Opportunity Center since 2011 and provides therapy to individuals of all ages, couples and families. Her areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of children and adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, effective communication skills, life transitions and balance, parenting, relationship issues, stress management and Family Therapy. Additionally, Dr. Dagia is a Level II Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Clinician and has considerable experience in working with those who have experienced trauma. Dr. Dagia also provides psychoeducational/psychological assessments and evaluations for children, adolescents and adults.
Dr. Dagia believes that a strong, positive therapeutic relationship is central to creating change and utilizes an integrative approach in her work, noting that assessment and treatment must be tailored to each client(s), based on their unique needs. Past professional experiences include working in both clinical and supervisory roles in a variety of outpatient settings.
