Molly Marcus, PsyD

Molly Marcus, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College with a concentration in Family Therapy. Dr. Marcus completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Chestnut Hill College Psychological Services Clinic, and Growth Opportunity Center where she treated individuals, couples, and families, and conducted psychoeducational testing. She also completed her postdoctoral residency at Growth Opportunity Center where she continued to conduct therapeutic services and psychoeducational testing.

At Growth Opportunity Center, Dr. Marcus provides therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has worked extensively with the following areas of specialization: family therapy, adoption, depression, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD/Learning Difficulties, social media and teens, self-esteem/confidence, and relationship/peer issues. Additionally, Dr. Marcus conducts psychoeducational, diagnostic, and Autism Spectrum evaluations across the lifespan.

Past clinical work experiences include working as a therapist at the Devereux Foundation in residential treatment for teens, and conducting psychoeducational testing at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Center for Management of ADHD. Additionally, Dr. Marcus is a current program facilitator at Girls Empowered in Doylestown, PA, where she facilitates programs that provide young girl scouts with the tools and resources to make good choices, create positive relationships, and enhance their self-esteem.

Dr. Marcus utilizes an integrative approach by pulling from the fields of family therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavior therapy to develop individualized treatment plans for each client based on their needs. Additionally, Dr. Marcus works from a multicultural perspective with understanding of how culture, ethnicity, race, and other diversity characteristics may impact aspects of one’s life. Dr. Marcus believes in a collaborative approach to developing treatment plans and utilizes creative interventions when working with children and adolescents to ensure that therapy is a positive experience for all.
