Laurie Heller, MSW, LCSW
My practice is dedicated to assist individuals, couples, and families by empowering them to overcome adversities. Entering therapy is a step in demonstrating resiliency and strength. I have an appreciation for this strength and consider it an important part of the therapy process. I have practice in assuring each client is respected on where they are when entering therapy. Making personal changes can be challenging. The aim of therapy is to help people have deeper more meaningful relationships and to be the best version of themselves. I consider myself as an invited guest into the client’s life and it is an honor to be a part of the process. I have been trained and practiced in Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Accepted Commitment Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy. I have 12 years experience, both in an inpatient hospital setting and outpatient settings working with a variety of populations such as substance abuse, mood disorders, relationship conflicts and transitions in life stages. These tools that I have learned and practice are uniquely implemented to guide clients into self awareness and self acceptance that leads to a more harmonious life.
